They are both challenged to aid in the decoding of a theory which is (to continue the metaphor) difficult to crack. This challenge entails a particular freedom and a particular risk. The particular freedom comes from the fact that the theories of Hegel and Whitehead \u2013 precisely because of their obscurity and need for decoding \u2013 leave considerable room to play with possible approaches to reconstruction, to offer one\u2019s own proposals for systematic improvements, and to introduce thought experiments of all sorts.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p><strong>b.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201eWarum entwickeln Hegel und Whitehead eine universale Theorie?\u201c, in: George R.
