It is not only successful products which have their “logo.” So do “major thinkers.” Sometimes they have several. Among these are frequently negative labels that other “major thinkers” have attributed to them, sometimes in retrospect. It is the fate of a number of thinkers that such caricatures accompany them, even pursue them, like a shadow. Schleiermacher’s work and history of effects has stood in the shadow of at least two such caricatures.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Wie am Markt erfolgreiche Produkte, so haben auch viele gro\u00dfe Denker ihr Markenzeichen, ihr “Label”. Manchmal haben sie mehrere. Darunter sind nicht selten auch negative Labels, die ihnen andere gro\u00dfe Denker zugeordnet oder nachgerufen haben. Es ist das Schicksal mancher Denker, von solchen negativen Etikettierungen wie von einem Schatten begleitet, ja geradezu verfolgt zu werden. Das Werk und die Wirkungsgeschichte Schleiermachers haben im Schatten mindestens zweier solcher karikierenden Labels gestanden.<\/p>\n<\/div>
