Dieser Ausspruch wird Archimedes zugeschrieben. Immer wieder ist Gott als solch ein archimedischer Punkt angesehen worden. Gott als letzter Fixpunkt und Halt. Gott als \u00e4u\u00dferster Bezugspunkt, von dem aus die Welt zugleich gehalten und in Frage gestellt wird. Viele fromme Menschen und viele Theologien haben mit so einer Vorstellung von Gott gelieb\u00e4ugelt.
